Andrea is foster mother for Ziggy, a Helping Hands capuchin monkey. She was host mother to two foreign exchange daughters from Holland and the Canary Islands, Spain, and real mother to two sons, Courtney and Jordan. She and husband, Michael, are originally from Cleveland, Ohio.
Brenda, one of her editors says, "Andrea has captured the principle' Follow your passion' and taken it into her life. She's interested in some diverse subjects: forensic science, primatology, journal writing, parties (and using games at parties), several criminal justice disciplines, and she has set out to know them better. . . . This is some of what she says about an activity spent with Ziggy, walking for fitness and health."
"Ziggy and I walk two miles every day--okay, Ziggy rides--close to my body inside my shirt, two heads coming out of one opening (consequently, all my tees have gaping necklines.) Our house is on a hill deep in the woods and we have only one neighbor. Because of this quiet peace, we've seen armadillo, rabbits, squirrels, prairie hens, deer, wild turkey, snakes, box turtles and in the fall, tarantulas. When evening rolls in other species appear: raccoon, opposum and bats. Owls hoot in their pre-night time call, while bullfrogs and crickets croak a harmonious backdrop. It's all very good for your mind and soul."
When she's not working and time permits, Andrea likes to pore through interior design books, create crafts, artwork and sewing, and a couple of years ago, she started a perennial garden.

Whatever steps you need to take to create the universe of your choice, you will have to push past predictable feelings of shyness and fear to take them.
Don't let embarrassment prevent you from going after what you want. It's absolutely self-defeating. The worst that can happen is that you get rejected by one person--so what? You have other frontiers, other territory to conquer. Keep the big picture in mind. You know that you're worthy, and that's all that really counts."Georgette Mosbacher
